Jan 1993 – Jan 2019: working for Pro Helvetia, Swiss Arts Council for 25 years. Pro Helvetia’s mission is disseminating Swiss art and introducing Swiss artists to the world through the offices and cultural center of Pro Helvetia in many countries in the world. Cairo office is the regional office for the Arab countries, so we planned and executed projects mainly in Egypt and other
countries in the region.
During the first 2 years, I was assisting the director with the logistics, finding partners and in the production of projects. Then, I was assigned to execute projects in Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem, as the political situation was promising at that time.
1998 – 2007: back in Egypt as I became responsible for; project management, PR, and communication. For 6 months in 2002, I became the Interim director for six months.
2007 – 2016: Project Manager handling an average of 40 projects per year. (planning, corresponding with artists, budgeting, logistics, translations, coordinating and organizing events; performances, exhibitions, theatre plays, music concerts and literature readings)
2016 – 2019: Program Manager Theatre, Literature and Dance.
