Research

Research has been always an essential part of Maysoon Mahfouz’s work across all disciplines.

1993 – 2019: A continued research on Arab art organizations and the art scene changes and challenges in the Arab region as part of her role at Pro Helvetia Cairo, Swiss Arts Council.

2018 – 2020: Researcher and Assistant Director for Nadia Fares, a Swiss/Egyptian film maker for her film “Big Small Women”, about the writer Nawal El Saadawy and women situation in Egypt. The role responsibilities included researching the women’s situation and liberation movement throughout the 20th century through the archives of research centers and media institutions.
